Rye is spicier and is what a Manhattan usually wants. “Bottled in bond” means 100 proof, one distilling season, one distillery, four years in bond. That is a legal definition, not a flavor claim. For an Old Fashioned, a straight bourbon or rye at 90–100 proof is the working bottle. No SKUs here.
